Subject: RE: HELP Martin floating row cleaners

Kentucky
What kind of residue are you trying to move? If it's corn stalks, I've heard that fixed is the way to go. I have Martin floaters with side treaders and love them. I'm in heavy wheat straw and bean stubble. In no-till I run them all the way down and let the depth bands hold them. In conventional acres I run them all the way up and don't use them. In no-till I can't picture a reason not to let them run all the way down. I also don't have any weight added.

I assume that you have the interlocking wheels so they are self cleaning.

Hope you get a good solution quickly. This topic has been discussed many times on this forum and so a search might give you a quick answer to your situation.
