Explain items such as vacation, sick days, etc. Also expalin about what times they are supposed to be at work and when the busy seasons are. Explain things such as if or even when family members can be there. this may be a lot of work now but it will help later.
Last year during cotton harvest, I was on the cotton stripper and looked up and had 5 or 6 kids around the module builders. I had to stop and tell them that this was not allowed. Hispanic wokers can be very good workers. However, there culture is different and there are things that they think is okay but it is not. | |
