You never want something like that to happen. We poured a pad under the spot where our landing gear sits on a couple trailers we unhook from often, didn't make it too big, just about 2' front to back and just wide enough to get two trailers side by side, made it about 8" thick and put a bunch of steel in it. I still worry about dropping a loaded trailer, but I'm sure it's never going to sink while it's sitting there.
