Subject: RE: Case IH 900 planter level-lift controller

Back on the valve stack there is a sensor that counts the teeth on one of the gears in the flow divider that equals out the oil to all the lift wheels. I think it is the one in the hockey-puck screwed into the top of the divider The last time I checked it was a $700 item, so I just grounded the lock selinod so the planter went up and down and cut the saftey stops to go on each lift wheel so the planter lowers to the right hieght and rests on the stops. The only time I had a problem was when the drive wheel fell in a furrow and soped turning the drum.
