I changed all my flashers (7610,7800,8400) to the old style socket (1157 bulb). The 3157 style ones aren't good enough for me. The sockets are designed for a sealed unit (a GM pickup for example) not a dusty and vibration prone enviroment. I haven't replaced a bulb in any of these since I changed the sockets (3 years and 3500 hours on each).
