I am using just the Dawn trashwheels on a Kinze Econo Fold planter. It is a good, heavy planter and never have any trouble penetrating the ground with it. That is a must.
I noticed you are in Michigan, can't say this would be successful in your area since the ground would naturally be colder than in southern Nebraska, but that is what is working for me.
