Subject: RE: Cat 35,45,55 vs. Deere 8X00T

I am a long green man that now has what I consider to be a excellent 35 wide stance
Cat with 18" tracks. Looked real hard at both, in fact it was after driving a 8100 wide stance JD that I said go for a track machine. The man selling the Cat said do you want a good cab or a good all around tractor. The JD rode rougher on the road, and cost a lot more than the Cat. I use the Cat for planting corn, spraying applying nh3, and grain cart. I no till beans with a air seeder and the Cat pulls that too. I only field cultivate the bean ground before planting so don't do any deep tillage. Track tractors are not good yard tractors as they have a tendency to leave a few divots in grassed areas and turning short in the yard and field they will leave tracks but in the field and the road the Cat was a very good choice.
