Subject: RE: Case IH 9130

Have had a 9230 RC for 4 yrs. Great for planting, drilling, grain cart. Upgrading to 9220 Deere to be able to pull a bigger disk also. Front steer works well with outback autosteer, but as mentioned, about need to turn it of on ends or it's tricky getting lined back up. Only trouble with front steer was potentiometer in hinge area was out when we got it. Skip shift is nice, but not necessary. As for value, paid 48k at auction in spring '05, getting 47k "real money" with about 6500 hrs.

If it's an early one make sure the trans updates have been done. Our 9170 (which I think is same trans) went out @ about 9k hrs. Dealer said it was because it never had updates. New one installed @ Case dearler was over $25k. Next year and less than 100 later, that one went out - at least it cost us nothing that time.
