Subject: RE: Aftermarket HID worklights for tractors

For the front a single trapazoid HID will work pretty good, it will light up a path about 30' wide and 500' long.  On our two tractors what I have is a single trap in the front with a flood on each side and then two floods on the back.  Two floods on the back of a tractor will easily light up a 90' sprayer and are bright enough you could stand at the ends of the boom and read a newspaper.  On our 5488 I replaced four 100 watt KC lights with three 35 watt HIDs and have more light with the HIDs while pulling a third of the amp load.
