SW Ontario
Believe me, the $2000 would be WELL worth it IMHO. You are already not firing on all cylinders both mentally and physically, and the weather is only adding to the stress. I put the system on our machine and simply will not operate without it. Think of it this way, what happens if you hit something and damage the head??
Believe me, the header height control WILL pay for itself, especially in your situation. It will make the rest of the harvest ALOT less stressful and you will be able to do it yourself.
The operator fatique is SO much less with HHC, I swear anybody could operate the combine with this installed.
We unload on the go all the time in corn and always at the same speed. I run the hydro wide open so it is always at the same speed and the job becomes idiot proof.

1- hit button to lower head
2 - follow corn rows
3- swing out auger
4 - hit auger button
5 - hit auger button again
6 - lift head
7 - make turn
8 - repeat.
One hand would be lots.
Good luck.
