Subject: Re: 2 row wide picker

Central, IA
We tried it last year with a NI pull type picker for 3 loads of ear corn to grind for the calves. Picker on 38" and planted in 30"'s.........Didn't work out to well for us and was pushing the stalks over to bad on the outide row. We ended up just picking 1 row at a time.

It didn't take too long to get a load, But I should note that the end rows were already combined, and we stripped the field every 12 rows so we could turn around and get back into the row faster......rather than driving all the way to the other end.

Might not be an option for you if you have to pick the whole field though.....
