is your steering column "loose", like flopping around some. My 9280 column got that way, from my father using the steering wheel as a bar to pull himself in and out of the seat. started making the switch not work properly. Till we had time to fix it, we ran a jumper wire from the battery to the fuel shut off soleniod to remedy the problem (ie start and run the tractor)
