Subject: TRY THIS FIRST

Lapel, In
before even thinking about a repair or replacement jack.
Most of the time the jack only gets filled with air.Simply close the valve then jack the jack up as high as it will go.Turn the jack upside down & set it on the ram and let it set that way for about a minute. This gives time for the air to go to the other end of the ram. Then with the jack still upside down, open the release valve and slowly push down forcing the ram back into the jack body,You may have to do this two or three times before you expell all the air out of the jack. Turning the jack upside down allows the air to go to the top((bottom) nearest there lease valve where it is expelled first before the oil is returned.
I have (fixed?) dozens of jacks with this method.Used to buy up (so called cheap& needing repair)jacks at auctions, but a guy can only use so many jacks.I have never seen a jack that had lost enough oil this it could not be )fixed) this way. Try it.It even works on floor jacks, but you have to place the return valve in the highest most position.
