I am no fan of credit cards or credit card companies. I still can't get over his idea of sticking it to the credit card companies. If you borrow the money, if you agreed to the terms, you pay it back. That is not neccesarily his take.
He teaches that if you have the money to pay it then pay what you owe. Work out a plan and pay your creditors. If you are flat broke and on the verge of bankruptcy, that is when he instructs listeners to to negotiate a settlement. At least the CC get something (mostly principle, not all the late charges, penalties and interest) vs $0 in a bankruptcy. |
