NWIL | I've planted loads of acres in a 7220 and an 8RW, now 12RN Kinze over the past 10 years. Never have adjusted the seat, never have staggered the markers, just go and have never had the odd guess row issue. I've read about this on the net for several years, yet I just line up the marker on the hood with the scratch in the dirt and carry on. Have spent way too much time doublechecking myself for this so-called issue by looking at the drawbar, the planter hitch, between the two middle rows, seems I always keep lined up pretty well....not auto-guide well, but about what can be realistically expected unless your name is Von. Come harvest there has not been any issues of corn getting too close or far away. Between the offset seat and myself being a smaller guy that tends to move around in the seat due to not enough cheek cushion, I should have mounds of trouble, but I don't.
