Boone, Iowa | We had a customer with a gas engined Kodiak. He wanted a diesel, so we installed the Cat 3116 from another Kodiak. There are several versions of this engine, so be careful because it is not easy to add hp to these engines. The desireable 3116 has twin intake pipes. There are some other things that your local CAT dealer could tell you. This guy is happy with this over the gas guzzling big block that was in the truck. This truck is set up with an aluminum grain box. I had a Snap-On dealer that was not happy with the power out of his tool truck with the 3116/auto set up. I would definitely drive it under the conditions you intend on using it. | |
