We have a 3 hopper Doepker tridem trailer. We use it for filling the air drill when no-till seeding. It's great for that because you can have dry fert in the back, one kind of seed in the front, and another kind of seed in the middle, so when you want to switch, just empty the drill out into one hopper and switch over to the next seed and keep going. No running back to the yard and dumping trucks, then loading up the new seed, it's all there with you. Saves a lot of time for us. Are you looking at a tandem or tridem? I'm thinking that a three hopper tandem would weigh more and cut into the payload. How long is it? Will there be enough space to put a swing auger under without a bunch of screwing around. I like the tridem in harvest because you can get a good payload on it, but not so heavy that you can't pull it across the field.
