Subject: Row size

Manitoba canada
Got a 8 row 7000 on 38's but worn out , giving up sunflowers and starting corn..........I want to cultivate rows but run older tractors with 18/38's 20/38's so don't really want to put them into 60in plus it will mess up my tramlining as my sprayer won't go that narrow.........What to do ..Just for 160 acres of corn go with the old girl and buy a obselete header for no $ ..Or 36's and buy a better planter,or 30's and buy a whole new outfit and have the option of custom work and get with the times.???..What is the arguement for narrower rows with corn...Not doing 22's as i don't want to get into the high $ stuff ..i want to see hoe the corn thing turns out first but up to 600 acres if it replaces the flowers..?
