The second wire(for other electrical post) should be about 4" long and go down to one of the mounting bolts for a ground wire. You will have to make up a "ground wire" , because it sounds like you don't have one. You can also make the ground wire longer and go to a better ground area, like the alternator ground, if you choose to. The factory "ground" ,for that later solenoid, is just 4" long going to a mounting bolt.
