Byron, WY | I agree with the above posters, I would check into it before I bought it. A friend of mine just bought a JD 8300 in TN for $51K. It had a new paint job and looked great but it had 600 more hrs than they said, 6300 not 5700. Then he had to crank on it for about 10 min to get it started. It finally started but smoked and sounded pretty worn. They also told him they would ship it for $1.50 a mile. We had bought a spra coup just 20 miles from the tractor so they said they could bring the coup also. The truck driver gave each of us a bill for $2.50 a mile. We didn't expect him to bring them both for $1.50, but thought for around $2.25 it would do everyone a favor. Anyway, ended up on $1.50 each. I have also heard that equipment from the south is nothing like it is in the midwest. They are very rough on tractors and very seldom are sheded. Just my .02. | |
