Kansas | Help!! I bought a 1990 Volvo/White/GMC twinscrew semi, & need to find the VIN number on the frame. The adhesive sticker on the door is so faded that it can't be read. I was told some have a tag riveted to the firewall next to the master cylinder. Evidently sometime during it previous life someone drilled a hole through the firewall to route a cable & snagged the tag. Aall I could find was a thumbnail size piece remaining.
Surely there must me somewhere on the frame where the VIN is stanped? A neighbor has a 91 Volvo/White/GMC tag axle & his VIN is stamped on the frame next to the right front shock. This one doesn't have anything resembling a VIN in that area? Been all over the darn thing with sandpaper with no luck. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! | |
