I think the antennas are in the arms that you generally would pull up to hold the phone.
Biggest difference is probably now you can record 4K and zoom on that camera too, so yes some good extras for the increased price.
I thought they might have added at least front object detection, considering the main target market is probably first time users. 
edit - RAW for stills too which will please more serious photographers
