Thumb of Michigan | It'll flush itself out eventually once you get the biggest share of the plug out. Generally, we only have problems with roots in fairly odd situations- ie deep rooted crop in a very dry year. But, theres some neighbors I have that have trouble every year somewhere with sugar beet roots in muckier loam soil.
Copper sulfate (so I've heard) raises heck with roots.
