Subject: RE: Insurance on stored grain

Seymour, IL
Peak season can also apply to more than just your stored grain...I have mine for spring when I have taken delivery of my seed corn and beans. Just to use round numbers if you took deliver of 500 bags of seed corn worth 200 per bag, you just gained 100,000 in exposure. On many policies this could cause a problem if you are now under your 80% co-insurance on your farm blanket.

yes, the coverage seems expensive, but so is the rock damage rider I have on my policy for the combine. However I don't know that I would want to be without either one.

just a thought
