Silver Lake, Kansas | There have been several folks burning pastures the past week in this part of Kansas. One of our local young farmers was out helping to back burn a piece of ground when his ATV quit running and was a little too close to the fire. Fortunately he only suffered burns to his chin and face. In southern Kansas, two men were caught in a fire and one of them did not make it. Even when you try to do everything correctly, something can still go sour. | |
