Ethridge, TN | Just redid my 2000, 3500, Cummins w/5 speed. Originals went to 85,000, and the replacements for them made it to 163,000. Biggest thing is to watch what "grade" of pad you buy. Buy the cheapest that can be had across the counter, and you'll get good at. Buy the higher priced pads, and they seem to hold in there. I'm still on the original rotors, and just did the rear shoes this time.
I did have to replace the RH front hub, and will do the left when I get time, as the bearings where getting ready to leave. Now there is a fun job for you. Would have liked to have shot the designer of that set-up. Bore&sleeve makes for a nice tight fit, but getting it apart after 10 years, that'll make you add new words to your vocabulary. | |
