Have a Hesston 8100 21ft swather. The header doesnt have gauge wheels, does it need? The springs should keep it out of the dirt with hired help running it. Was thinking of installing a header height gauge and just tell them what number to run at instead of setting the wheels up. Any ideas for a homemade header height gauge or is there a store bought one that beats everything else?
