Believe it or not in summer you may need an air conditioner or dehumidifier. People do things in the kitchen and other rooms that produce a lot of vapor.
They told me to build with 6 or more feet of dirt over the structure. By the time the winter cold arrives it is summer and the summer heat is felt most of the winter. I would suspect you who on occasion get more than 6 feet of frost may have to go even deeper.
