Grandpa and I bought a brand new John Deere 6 row planter, and I'm wondering if the seed meters need to be run on a stand. It's a finger pick up. What seed size have you had best luck with in a finger pick up planter. Guy at JD store said a 4020 didn't have enough hydraulic pressure to run a vac pump, so that's why we went with the finger.
