garyncia has a point about getting all the weeds but we have switched to mainly running the spikes also on our cultivator on 6" spacing. Especially in the fall, the only time we put sweeps back on is if it gets really weedy out in the fields in the spring otherwise we like the spikes better. We also use a pre-emerge on the majority of the farm.
