Alberta, Canada | Depends what you want to use it for. We've had Honda 250 TRX atv's on the farm for 20 years. We also have a newer 2006 model TRX250 manual shift. Its my fathers and it shifts harder then our old 1985 model. However it turns much sharper and has way better suspension.
I just bought a new Yamaha Kodiac 350 to replace my old 1985 TRX250. We bought that 2006 model when the dollar was lower and pricers were higher up here in Canada. So I think the new honda was only like a $1000 cheaper then what I payed for my Kodiac this Jan. The Kodiac is way more quad for the money.
IF I was to get another Honda 250 I'd get a electric shift as my friends 420 Honda has it and it works nice. The Kodiac has the CVT trans which I like even better with no gears to shift. THe 420 Honda's and the Yamaha Bruin 350 4x4 (solid rear axel) and Kodiac 350 (independent rear axels) are all under 600lbs. | |
