We use a lithium based grease (Cenex ML 365) in all ball, roller and needle bearings. We TRY to use a moly based grease (Cenex Molyplex 500) in all pin & bushing applications, and tie rod ends. I haven't spent as much time schooling the crew as I should on where to use the moly, but I have told them "when in doubt, use the lithuim".

Is the lithium grease the stuff that seems rather thick and sticks (stains) to everything? I use some at work on equipment, and it seems it will never drip or run since it seems so sticky. Really makes a mess unless you are careful when using it. |
