NW Washington
Do the Blackberry canes have to be pruned by hand? Or is this mechanical clipping enough. Are they hand or mechanically harvested?
Raspberries have to be pruned and tied up by hand which is a lot of work even if are mechanically harvested.

A little aside, wild blackberries grow every where they are given a chance or ignored from the western slopes of the Cascade Mountains to the Pacific Ocean. What a pest they can be and thorns like you would not believe. Another domestic gone wild.
