Does this tractor have lift assist cylinders? If so, you have to disconnect the lift assist & cap off the fitting that comes out of the rockshaft cyl. cap. It's almost impossible to adjust it up w/o doing this. You have to follow the sequence in the instructions-clearance 3/16-3/8 @ 10" first; then turn the load control adj. (thru the bunghole) all the way clockwise & adj. the rod linkage so it raises w/the front of the lever at 1 in MAX; then put the rear of the lever at 1 & turn the load control adj. counter clockwise until it raises. (still in MAX). If it still has no depth control in MIN, i.e. raises all the way once it starts up, the depth control cam on the rockshaft may be loose or broken. This may be the same procedure as the 55's, I'm not sure...I'm quoting this from memory, I'll go look at the book now & see if I'm screwed up...
