lake Michigan shore line/Mason county | I need help trying to get back up to speed. I haven't raised any row crops for 8 years. I have a JD 7000 conservation till planter with a 3 Coulter Rawson toolbar on the front. I used it for a couple of seasons on a small scale before parking it. I never got a chance to really get comfortable with using it. Now it seems like a lifetime ago and I feel like a beginner. Anyone have any experience with these?? Does it help to run a toolbar with Coulters a day or two ahead of the planter to help dry, or warm the soil?? What type of closing wheels work well?? Thanks Al |
