I'm looking to upgrade my thrashed Versatile 500 gal 60' wheel boom sprayer, getting tired of welding it up. I see most used stuff listed has suspended booms, I would like to find a good used wheel boom sprayer in the 60' range, any recommendations? Or should I be looking at a suspended boom - how do the older ones keep from hitting the dirt in rolling ground? I have enough to do in the cab without having to mess with controlling the boom manually - so should I look for another wheel boom unit or am I missing something? Something with auto boom height will most likely be way out of my price range, I only cover a bit more than 1000 acres a season and I hate to part with cash... $5000 would be reasonable I hope.
I would hire it out but that is not an option - I spray all the neighbor's acres already. |
