Thanks for that information; I had not seen the difference until Ernie mentioned it.  The '56 F350 has the vertical post, the pictures of the '53 have a slanted post.

Gerald, I noticed how much the back of the cab looks like the IHC's of the period but the hood and fenders do not look like the IHC's.  I'll look at the grill to see how they compare.  At any rate, the toy is an interesting find.
