southern MN | Yea, those batteries chemistries are weird stuff, they wreck themselves if they stay full charged. Maybe a short way of saying it is that to use they get overcharged to store more flying time in them. This won’t hurt them for a day or two, but they can’t stay overcharged like that for long.
The early versions you had to remember to discharge them if you didn’t use them. The newer ones they take care of that themselves.
