Same reason I run synthetic oils-time.

I buy that Mobile 1 25,000 mile oil-change fileter at 5k and oil at 10k. Works out about the same for $ as 3x as many oil changes with cheap oil.

I have a civic with 130k, accord with 90k, and Yukon with 70k. None of them use a drop of oil and have had no internal failures. And I love only changing the oil 1 or 2x per year.

I don't put enough hours on my farm equipment to justify the same pattern-but I am sold on it for cars.
