NE SD | Ron, There were I believe 5 stations in SD offering blends of 10, 20, and 30% ethanol. They were/are using special pumps that make the blend as it is being pumped. One of the stations is on my way to and from school, and I really liked being able to stop there and put in 30%. Pickup ran REALLY smooth on it...never noticed any loss in power, and if there was a mileage loss it was negligable. That particular station just thist past weekend announced it was going to quit offering anything more than 10%. Its reason was from pressure from its fuel supplier in that they were worried the EPA will take after them. Apparently, the EPA has not approved anything more than 10% in common vehicles. What I would give to get my hands around some of those EPA folks' necks. |
