Subject: hyd master-slave questions

Effingham, IL
I have a CIH 3950 disk with a broken clevis on one of the raise cylinders. It has 2 on the main frame and 2 on the wing wheels. They are all 3.5"x8" stroke cylinders. CIH online parts shows all 4 cylinders have the same part #'s. It is plumbed so the exiting oil of the main cylinders go the the raise side of the wing wheels. First question: wouldn't you have to use a smaller cylinder for the slave to compensate for the volume of the ram shaft. Second question: do these cylinders have to be rephasing cylinders? Third question: If they aren't rephasing cylinders, do you have to manually bleed the cylinders? I'd like to go to Rural King store and buy a new 3.5x8 cylinder for $90, but unsure if it will work. Thanks! Craig
