When that rig was first built the "spoon" was mounted upside from what it is now and about 10 or 12 feet high. The manure shot up and hit the spoon. The spread pattern was wider, but the tractor could and would get covered. Worked well if there was no wind. Didn't take to many windy days until the goose neck was added and the spoon was flipped over and placed closer to the ground.
