sc kansas | not limited to 50series as 60series also had to have mod kits added to bin bracing. there are pip's that you can check on for that serial number and see if they have been done. early 50series had quite a few mods done to the rotar cage area and support areas, later 50's like 03 yr had alot of this improvements made. also check variable speed fan support bracket on right side of seperator as they will crack out and have to be rewelded and braced. also the variable speedfan drive hub with 3 drive pins will probably be worn and inside sheave, jd at mcpherson ks has rebuilt hubs you can exchange out. also lower shoe frame will probably be cracked and will need to be updated to new style frames that 06 and newer machines have. also check return elevator housing where it is welded to auger housing going into rotar as they will crack out. | |
