We run an 8 row on a 9550 and get along great, but it has the big engine, and the 9550 has a larger clean grain elevator than the 9500 did...that may be your limiting factor. Like the above post said, don't get carried away with speed, and you will be OK. Hills will slow you down as far as corn out the back, but hasn't been a big problem for us.
