Well, I used to use a 1256 IH (112 pto Hp) on a 15 ft. Worked very well in very thick tall grass and light low brush/bush type plants. Able to move right along with it. Acturally faster then what I felt comfortable with, as I didn't know what was in the heavy grass / brush. It wasn't made for lots of brush / small tree cutting and I never really got into that type of use.
