Southeastern Kansas
680 chisel brought in the 17's as I recall if that was the one that was not the level land. The newer one was maybe in the 22's but not real sure. I get amused at the auctioneer when trying to get an opening bid on something sometimes they will blurt out a number. I always take that to mean they think that is what it will bring so one can go from there. On the older chisel he opened with $15.5M. I felt we might get it at that time but that turned out to not be true. Did anyone notice all the young farmers that bought the big dollar stuff? Thought that was unusual and would like to know why. I heard the 9750 which some said was the soft spot of the day was sold shortly after the bidding stopped. Just a rumor or maybe not.
