Subject: Re: CNH off to a good start

Grand Island, Nebraska
There was a time when the unions were needed to safeguard the workers in the workplace, but are they really needed in this day and age in this country? When I hear what the average hourly wage of the union auto workers is, it is no wonder GM and Ford are struggling. I wished that I made half of what they are! IH had problems with the unions and it really hurt their operations. CNH is not the only company trying to control costs by closing plants and trimming the workforce. No one likes it, but it is a business decision that sometimes has to be made.
