Subject: Re: farm fans CMS 10E continuous flow dryer

I've got a CMS-18E, and just happen to have the manual in front of me. According to the book, the 10E holds 210 bu. and is rated to dry 20-15% at 350 bu/hr. "full heat" (dumping hot), and 230 bu/hr "dry and cool". At the top of my manual it says "for dryers 1974 and later". I'm pretty sure mine is a 1981. I bought it 4 years ago with only 200 hours on the meter for $3700, at a consignment sale. Parts are available, and control updates are available. Be sure to get a parts book and an operation manual...and read it.

Unless drying from high moisture I typically only run the middle burner, and am pushing through way more than rated capacity.
