Subject: RE: Multimeters

My primary multimeter is a Simpson ( with the "Radio Shack" brandname), I bought used for years ago for $15 ( orginally listed for $90 ). It's not autoranging but the function and range controls can be operated and held with one hand.

Also have the Princess Auto ( probably the same stuff that Harbour Freight has) clamp meter, that also doubles as an AC/DC voltmeter. Very handy.

Mistake to get was the cheap little "pocket sized" multimeter from Canadian Tire to keep in the house. If one forgets to shut it off the battery quickly dies. A new battery of the right size costs more then the meter sold for on sale.
