What shade of lens do you all use in your welding helmet's for those of you that use 240 volt wire feed welders?

I had a #11 or 12 in my helmet, then I purchased a wire feed about a year ago. The #12 was to dark so I put a #9 in and I think it may be just a little to light because I have to wear tinted safety glasses underneath. Normally that is not a problem for me because I can go from the torch to the welder with out touching my glasses but tonight when I came in I looked in the mirror and I had coon eyes where my glasses were. I don't think my welding helmet has a leek, and I have been sick for the last few days so my skin could be extra sensitive I guess. Jon
